"The culture is very much high-school. You have to be in "close circle" to even do your regular job effectively. I understand that no matter where you go, you have to build relationships and be some sort of circles to succeed. However, this is the worst I have ever seen. There are companies out there that meritocracy can win. "

"Some people can work from home, but that policy seems like not available anymore. The ones who got "grand-fathered" kept that "benefit". This is not very fair. "

"This is a good organization for. The CEO is a family man and very humble. Employees and their opinion are important.
They don't pay competitively. Also across the organization there are a lot of inefficiencies and reactive strategies. "

"Schwab tries its best to promote equality, but fails with its "troops on the ground". Management tends to forget about the opportunites for all and instead focuses on the promotion for one. Its very backwards. Hard work is not rewarded daily, but instead, done for everyone. "

"It depends on your manager / department, but by supervisor often calls me outside of business hours and expects me to answer. They offer a 28-day sabbatical every five years but you have to cover for everyone else on your team while they are taking their sabbatical, so you are often working long hours."
