"Overall, the company is very flexible and accomadating. I have heard people refer to it as a "boys club" and there have often been times where men are promoted before women. "

"Prepare to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as those are the times when most homeowners are available to meet for a solar consultation. The homeowners you meet with are generally terrific and forward thinking individuals who are excited about the possibility to use clean energy for their home but not all homeowners are "sold" on the idea for solar yet and there is a lot of objection handling. High stress sales environment with monthly quota and commissions fluctuating all the time."

"I was in an Outside Sales position which means you are able to work from home and travel to appointments or events when you have them. While the position allows for a lot of freedom and flexibility, in order to make quota you need to work around the clock"

"While the SolarCity brand and reputation is fantastic, the percentage of women who are in management level positions is roughly 10%. This company can sometimes have the feel of a "Boys Club" atmosphere."
