"I have worked in other similar industries that are typically male dominated and very few women tend to be in leadership positions. There are more women in leadership here compared to past employer. There are more women in supervisor and management roles here. I have witnessed more women promote into leadership roles here in my short time at Terex (less than 1 year). I have met other women with the company and learned how their careers blossomed here. I personally, have experienced it as well. "

"Some positions do not offer a lot of flexibility due to the nature of our work (a manufacturing facility). Even still, I have witnessed flexibility for women needing to drop off children at daycare, etc. Other positions that aren't as closely related to the assembly line have greater flexibility. "
Did you take Maternity leave?
"Yes"
6 Weeks Paid | 4 Weeks Unpaid
"I had not been here the minimum 1 year requirement for the 10 weeks 100% maternity leave benefit.
However, I did have 6 weeks Short-term-disability at 67% pay, and I opted to take 4 additional weeks of bonding time (unpaid). My boss was very supportive of my decision and has further stated that she would work with me if I needed to work partial days as I transitioned back to work full time. "
