Women's Job Satisfaction (5=very satisfied)

We are fortunate to not have to think about being a woman at Terex, we are all equal team members. If anyone would treat you differently because you are a woman it would be addressed and you would have support. Terex has a very diverse and accepting culture with supportive team members. There are also many women in high level positions willing to be mentors or share their experiences.

Recent changes including flex time, flex place and maternity leave definitely make Terex competitive with these offerings and I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to engage in these.

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Improve quality of work, training and communication. The focus of projects and daily work is often rushed and focused on a timeframe and cost which ends up hurting many areas later on when these require fixing. Team members who have performance issues are not always held accountable which contributes to poor quality and rework required. Communication and training are mediocre at Terex and could positively affect many areas as they continue to improve.

We have great flexible work programs but in some direct manufacturing roles, the nature of the work requires you to be physically present so there's no equal flexibility in all parts of the organization.

The leave policy has changed to include more paid leave than what you receive via short term disability. It's much improved.

I have worked in other similar industries that are typically male dominated and very few women tend to be in leadership positions. There are more women in leadership here compared to past employer. There are more women in supervisor and management roles here. I have witnessed more women promote into leadership roles here in my short time at Terex (less than 1 year). I have met other women with the company and learned how their careers blossomed here. I personally, have experienced it as well.

Some positions do not offer a lot of flexibility due to the nature of our work (a manufacturing facility). Even still, I have witnessed flexibility for women needing to drop off children at daycare, etc. Other positions that aren't as closely related to the assembly line have greater flexibility.
