"I think its an exciting place to work as a woman especially as a woman of color. I feel the company is doing more than just being aware of the needs and obstacles that face women. Not to mention the company encourages those challenging conversations to help build more inclusion. I have worked for many organizations and the Hartford truly stands apart when it comes to its willingness to challenge and embrace change that benefits all walks of life including women and women of color which I am."

"Speaking for my department only, because we take inbound calls and staffing is planned around call volume and interval, we don't have as much flexibility as other parts of the business. So, although I might not score it as high, I know we do have other lines that provide a strong level of commitment to work/life balance.
It would be helpful for policies to change such as our remote worker policy. We do have that as an option but one of the guidelines is that we don't provide this option as a solution to daycare because the agent has to be focused on the call at hand. However, I feel if you do have a sick child that you are able to monitor from the comfort of your home and be working, then you can avoid the callouts and not lose productivity."

"I like the fact that there are a lot of women in senior positions. I've been here for 14 years and have always felt I've been treated with respect (that was not the case at other companies). "
