"Thomson Reuters has done a lot within the last 10 years to encourage women in the workplace. They have strengthened the maternity leave policy, engaged in cultural partnership activities around gender partnership, women in tech and the quiet revolution. They have been vocal about their commitment to women in the workplace and I believe our CEO Jim Smith is fully committed to this activity."

"Overall this company tries hard to create an equal environment for women, It is great at offering great maternity leave, back-up childcare polivies etc. But success varies dramatically across sectors of the business. Editorial in particular, has male-dominated management culture that makes it difficult to progress for many women"

"Flexibility is great in some departments and poor in others. Would be ideal if there was a company wide stance and support for this, hard when you go from a very flexible environment to one that is not. "

"Maternity leave policy changed between my kids. First one I was able to take 12 weeks paid and 12 more weeks unpaid which was wonderful, Second kid I got 12 weeks paid but any unpaid was only available after all PTO time was used up which was not feasible for me having a kid early in the year, very disappointing. I think it has changed again though "
