At Thomson Reuters, we have made a commitment to increase the representation of women in senior leadership positions to 40% or more across our organization globally. To bring this work to life, we support a number of internal employee groups, programs and initiatives to foster the careers of our women employees at all levels.
Our Women at Thomson Reuters (TR) network, part of our global business resource group community, is comprised of 21 chapters across 18 countries. The mission of Women at TR is to drive positive change inspiring others to promote women as equal partners in the success, achievement and profitability of the business. We seek to champion women by supporting professional growth and development, expanding networks internally and throughout our communities, increasing male allyship and driving awareness of the unconscious biases that fuel gender inequality.
In addition, we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month each year with global events and activations of our Thomson Reuters employees to increase the visibility of work focused on advancing gender equity.
Thomson Reuters typically provides employees up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave within a year of the child’s birth or adoption. For the delivering parent, parental leave begins when disability ends, which generally extends the period of paid leave to 18 weeks.
