At Thomson Reuters, we have made a commitment to increase the representation of women in senior leadership positions to 40% or more across our organization globally. To bring this work to life, we support a number of internal employee groups, programs and initiatives to foster the careers of our women employees at all levels.
Our Women at Thomson Reuters (TR) network, part of our global business resource group community, is comprised of 21 chapters across 18 countries. The mission of Women at TR is to drive positive change inspiring others to promote women as equal partners in the success, achievement and profitability of the business. We seek to champion women by supporting professional growth and development, expanding networks internally and throughout our communities, increasing male allyship and driving awareness of the unconscious biases that fuel gender inequality.
In addition, we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month each year with global events and activations of our Thomson Reuters employees to increase the visibility of work focused on advancing gender equity.
mentorship and sponsorship are core components of our female key talent development programs – which focus on building self-awareness, goal setting, increasing confidence, enhancing leadership skills, sharing strategies for business success and networking with and learning from other talented Thomson Reuters leaders.
In addition, a new mentoring offering for all employees will be introduced in Q1 2021.
we have a digital platform available that curates social learning and networking experiences for all employees across Thomson Reuters. This cutting-edge tool allows for new connections to be made between colleagues that share complementary interests and goals. In addition, our business resource groups and other employee networks host internal networking events throughout the year.
we commit to inclusive hiring practices and an environment that encourages new ways of thinking and working, where employees feel free to challenge the status quo and celebrate differences, while appreciating what we share in common.
To ensure we can do that, we seek talented, qualified employees in all our operations around the world regardless of race, color, sex/gender, including pregnancy, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, citizen status, veteran status, or any other protected classification under applicable law. Thomson Reuters is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
Thomson Reuters typically provides employees up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave within a year of the child’s birth or adoption. For the delivering parent, parental leave begins when disability ends, which generally extends the period of paid leave to 18 weeks.
through our medical and Rx plans Thomson Reuters offers up to a $20,000 lifetime maximum infertility coverage benefit. Additionally, we have partnered with WinFertility to provide employees with personalized guidance, education and referrals, and emotional support on their family-building journey.
