"IT is not female friendly, you can expect to have people on your team that will go over your head to a male manager with *everything*. "

"I observed and experienced a lot of gender bias. But most of all, the company is going through some tough times after growing too fast, increased competition, and acquisition by of parent company EMC by Dell. There have been multiple restructuring and layoffs, with high percentage of women over 45 impacted. If you are the breadwinner or your salary is essential to your household, VMW would be a risky choice."
