"West Monroe says they are people first and it's hard not to believe that's just marketing speak until you get here. This firm really does manage to recruit the most incredible people year after year. "

"This is a consulting firm, so travel and high expectations are part of the gig. I think West Monroe is more willing to work with people than other firms to meet them where they are in life. "

"WMP is truly unique in that it has a supportive, positive culture. However, the "AND" culture here can also be pervasive. Doing well on client work is not enough - it feels like a competition of who does the most internal Practice Development work... often times, this PD work itself isn't even meaningful and is a favor to someone.
As a result, WMP strays from being a true meritocracy. Very many average performers and the PD/hours ends up falling on others. This becomes more pronounced and worse as you become more senior.
With that said, I greatly appreciate the many mentors and leaders here. For the most part, they are always open to talk and help guide you. This isn't something you can easily find in the consulting culture. "
