It has taken me three years to truly "bounce back" after being let go from a company after 18 years. I'm in a wonderful place now (after having traveled from one coast to the next) and take responsibility for my mistakes and recognizing theirs. I want to say to those that lose their job: things happen for a reason - use this time to grow. I now practice the art of gratefulness and recognize that losing that job was the best thing that happened to me.

You are so right and I am so amazed by your resilience. They were not the right people for you. Where you are now - would you say this blessing was worth the pain, redirection?

Everything. Being able to be a mom, wife, daughter and an executive without feeling guilty about not having the perfect work-life balance is my biggest accomplishment

Isn't work-life balance so elusive and not exactly attainable anyway? Love this! Amazing - guilt is so common and fully embracing ourselves is undersold. It is very critical to accept who we are fully. Love this share.
