Hi!
I was out of work for 9 weeks recently due to a car accident and suffered a concussion. I just started back to work part-time, 20 hrs a week, in my same role. Things certainly feel different. My role is daily so things were done in my absence and the show went on. It has been overwhelming as i ease back in. I sometimes have guilt for not having been there even though it was entirely out of my control. Any advice on how to ease the transition? Thank you!
This feeling is totally normal, and it can be overwhelming after returning from any kind of leave. I think discussing weekly priorities with your people leader with help, even just a 15 or 30-minute "stand-up."
I think taking a day to maybe create a 30-60-90 day plan (just like one would in a new role) may help, too. Between the prioritization and planning out how to budget your time I think these could help.
