I'm really curious to see how many of us are professionals who are transitioning, making a career change, or are starting a new career that may also students (part or full-time) or recently graduated and have found Fairygodboss to be helpful beyond articles and groups.
I'd like to hear how you leveraged this site because I'm a little disappointed personally.
I like the community aspect the best. I like helping women who need advice or guidance, being that I'm in HR in the Talent Acquisition space. I feel I'm trying to give back to the community. I also love attending the live events for organizations so I get a better understanding of the company's culture.
I'm new to the site and I'm still getting the hang of it. But yesterday I participated in the tail end of the Tech virtual job fair. I really appreciated the ability to network and talk one-on-one with different recruiters. It was very helpful to be able to get face to face with them. I hope there is another one soon!
I would love to attend one of those! find it a little disappointing that they only have the Tech virtual job fairs for established to well-established professionals and refuse to allow individuals who are students to attend regardless of any previous professional experience.

I'm at the end of my career and trying to plan for a retirement that will include contract work or consulting work.
I use this site to consider other experiences and examples of how to approach career decisions and the struggle to keep growing in nontraditional ways.
I try to offer what I've learned and changes I've made over the years of a long career.
