What's your side hustle?
Hey everyone! Welcome to Side Hustle to Self Employed! I'd love to know... what's your side hustle?
I side hustled as a web designer (and taught entrepreneurs to DIY) for 3 years before I finally got the courage (and made enough money) to quit my day job. It took awhile... but it's totally possible.
I'd love to hear your story!
Hi, Shannon! I own my own Scentsy business and absolutely LOVE it!
Hi Shannon, Thank you for this post! I have an online retail store (selfloveandfitness.com) which focuses on wholesale fitness accessories, but will launch individual orders soon. The brand is to empower people to get back onto their priority lists, offering portable / versatile equipment is a way to bring this mission to life.
I am a mindset coach helping women who are fed up of their 9 to 5 become coaches and consultants. The focus is on mindset. I love neuroscience, spirituality and women specific skills and I find that women are misrepresented in the world today. But not from a feminist standpoint, but from a chronic need for how they handle things and feminine values (like cooperation and compassion).
I left a very well paid job, at a time when I had 2 young kids, the house, the cars etc. But it was my passion and no matter what happens from now on I know that I am doing what I believe in and I can support others to do the same.
I've always been interested to find out what a person has to do to become a coach. I did research January of 2021 and found all these very expensive course offerings through different industry groups. I swear it was like they wanted you to pay for a 4-year education in 5 months. I opted for two certifications and decided to just keep it moving.
I have always worked in the medical field and have side hustled doing hair for extra income for years. Last year, after getting no where with my Biology degree and having an Ah-Ha! moment with an oncology patient, I decided I wanted to formulate my own hair care products and accessories for natural curly hair. I have since formulated 2 products, have one accessory, and am in the start up stage of my business. Website has a tentative launch date of Cyber Monday.
What is your web address?
I've been hustling career/communications/facilitation services for 7 years now through Webfooted Communications. Right now, it is a huge boon while I am on severance and looking for a new full-time gig. I wish I could do it full-time, but I am the sole income earner for my family of four, and just can't figure out how to make the same $$ I was used to with my corporate job. However, I hope to be able to do so eventually... just not quite yet.
Hi Shannon! I have several side-hustles right now, though they are hobbies that I earn a bit of side money from (spin instructor, landscaping). My goal is to eventually transition to a solopreneurship as an Instructional Designer. I thought this group would be a great motivator for me through hearing success stories as well as the steps/struggles to get there.
Hey Shannon! I've successfully run my own solopreneurship as an Personal Chef and Dietitian for 3 years. Now I'm working on building a business with a friend and entrepreneur to help others get unstuck and out of their day jobs doing work they love.
