Hi, I'm very interested in moving from the Tech world to Healthcare. I'm not sure how to word my resume for this transition. Has anyone else done this?

   This transition is more common than you’d think. Focus on reframing your tech experience into healthcare-relevant skills like data accuracy, compliance, and systems workflows. That translation makes a huge difference on a resume.

   Dual focus on telecom software development and large-scale data warehousing. I'm currently a Scrum Master, but in past lives I was a Business Analyst and System Analyst.

   As Barbara said, focus your resume on the transferrable skills. To get more precise, reach out to someone in the healthcare industry with a role similar to the one you're looking for and ask them. Or, look up job descriptions and find them there.

   This is also where a cover letter is useful - it explains your pivot. you want to connect the dots for them not just assume they know what you're trying to do.
   also connect with more people from that industry, particularly at companies you want to work it. those relationships can then lead to referrals.

   Thank you, I will definitely start checking into making contacts in the Healthcare field. I'm focusing on project coordinator or Analyst positions. I would love to be able to learn and start training employees on EPIC.

   Pamela - you can use AI to prepare your resume as follows:

   1. Edit your current resume to emphasize anything you did in the past that had anything to do with healthcare, e.g., application software implementation, integration work.
   2. Open Chat GPT and prompt SS follows: "Use the following resume to produce a resume that emphasizes healthcare - related accomplishments /paste your resume in the chat and hit enter. See what comes out and refine accordingly.
