Is there such thing as a work life balance as a midlevel lawyer.
Yes, I work for the government. No, that doesn't mean I don't work hard or always in person controlled by a docket.
Does anyone know how to perhaps find a nontraditional role - something like editing Lexis articles?
I read this as medieval lawyer and thought, hmmm... no balance. ?
?
I’ve been a lawyer for 20 years and have been chasing that rainbow for years. You basically get work life balance at government and corporate (some). Editing, doc review etc all pay $25-35 an hour so less than a paralegal. You may find a unicorn firm somewhere but unfortunately the name of the law game is work, work, work.
USAjobs.com, look for legal positions in different areas of govt and even private sector or non-profit that don't carry huge overtime.
Thanks!
Lawyer?
Balance?
No. Sorry.
