Great question! Two quick tips that have worked for me: (1) Keep your layout super simple—fancy templates with columns or graphics can actually confuse ATS systems. I always stick to a clean, single-column format. (2) Also, when it comes to keywords, try to include both acronyms and full terms—like ‘SEO (Search Engine Optimization)’—since you never know how the system is set up to scan. Hope that helps!

Just saw something today about pasting the entire job description into the footer and then making the color of font white, not sure if it works or not. With that said, I found most of my positions have been through networking and through executive recruiters.

There is no "getting past the ATS". The goal is to get INTO the ATS so you can be considered.
