Hello!
I'm a coach and consultant and I'm finding it difficult to attract the type of corporate clients I want to engage. That's why I've decided to try and land a full-time role. I feel like I only have "soft skills" and I'm finding it difficult to sell my potential. Are there any recruiters here that could give me some advice? Thanks
Landing a full-time role in corporate requires "hard skills" as well as "soft skills." My suggestion would be to find the job description of a position you'd like to do, and are interested in doing. See what skills (hard/soft) are needed as well as any special capabilities. Take any courses to up-skill yourself (Coursera, Udemy, etc.) and then you'll better be able to feel confident and market yourself.
Thanks, Carrie!
After reading your suggestion, I thought that I really care about employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and wellness in the workplace, and I started to look for courses. Have you heard of AIHR? They have a lot of courses and certifications that look fantastic, but I don't know how valuable these would be for someone who's not an HR professional. Do you think employers value this type of certifications/training? Thanks!!
I have not heard of them, but hey, check everything out. You've got nothing to lose. Good Luck.
