Hiring in Consulting COVID-19
Hi Ladies,
I wanted to ask how you all think hiring will go about in the consulting - advisory industry? I see that many firms are mainly hiring for leadership roles but have not really posted for associate roles. I know COVID has changed industries but what do you guys think about the future of consulting?

I personally do not see consulting as a job inside a company but rather as a freelance position. If I need to consult someone on something, once I get the response - I no longer need that consultant. While I am sure there are companies that would hire a consultant and keep them on retainer, I think there are more that would just bring them in to deal with the issue on an as-needed capacity.
I consult/coach people that want to write a book. But once I have handled their project, and assisted them with getting it prepared for publication, the project is done and they no longer need my assistance. When they are ready for their next project and need assistance, they know how to contact me.
