Help! My child can no longer say more than 2 words.

Puberty hits too fast! I feel like I dropped my cute happy baby off at school one morning and picked up some greasy, pimply, smelly version on Eeyore after school. My son can no longer say complete sentences. "Yes, No, Cool, Aight, Sure" seem to be the only words he knows now. How did it go from him talking my ears off about everything to radio silence. It's crazy to think I miss when he would talk to me for hours about his adventures with his Matchbox Mega Rig Shark Ship. At what age will he start talking to me normally again?

I know what you mean!! My daughter is now 14 and she's slowly starting to have little conversations. I thought something was majorly wrong when I couldn't get her to talk and she just wanted to spend time by herself in her room. Yet when she's around her friends she goes on and on and on... I've realized it's a phase. As she matures she's more thoughtful about what she says.

About this group

This is a safe zone first and foremost. Come and vent about your midnight feeding, your boss calling you abrasive, your chicken coming out dry, or whatever else you need to get off your chest. Let's celebrate those first steps, first words, promotions, all of it. This is a virtual village to listen, laugh, cry and support you.

Group rules

No judging! Be kind. If you don't have anything nice to say.... Don't say anything at all.
