I’ll continue to shout this from the rooftops…
Not practicing self-care and prioritizing yourself is the biggest mistake you can make as a working mom.
It’s not honorable to put everyone else before you. Your family (and work) need you to be well.
So, let me share a few EASY ways to practice self-care (and discover more about yourself at the same time):
--Simply sit: Literally, just sit there with zero distractions for at least 10 minutes and allow your mind to rest or get creative
--Brain dump journaling: Get everything that’s in your head onto paper
--Meditate: Even 5 or 10 minutes will work (Try to @Calm app)
This is a safe zone first and foremost.
Come and vent about your midnight feeding, your boss calling you abrasive, your chicken coming out dry, or whatever else you need to get off your chest. Let's celebrate those first steps, first words, promotions, all of it. This is a virtual village to listen, laugh, cry and support you.
No judging! Be kind. If you don't have anything nice to say.... Don't say anything at all.
