Wondering if anyone can point me towards some informational courses or certificate programs for health insurance?
We’ve been struggling with a restrictive HMO and have two special needs kids who require some extra care. I am at the end of my rope calling insurance every time I have a question or something is denied, half the time I get conflicting explanations or spend the entire day on/off holds. I requested a copy of our policy (like the full version, not an overview or summary) and want to understand every tiny thing in it. Knowledge is power and I want to know everything!

Ugh, managing health insurance is really the worst under the best of circumstances. Are you looking for courses to better understand your policy or to be able to work at a health insurance company?

good question, I feel like I would rather just know everything the insurance company knows at this point. I really don’t know if any courses to generally understand my policy would be more insightful than the overview we’ve gotten from HR. (should also note that my husband and I have both worked in healthcare so we’re both fairly more knowledgeable than the average Joe.)
