Book Recommendation: The Greif Recovery Handbook by John W. James & Russell Friedman
We are all grieving in one way or another from the loss of friends, career, family members and our own sense of normal during COVID19. I received a copy of this book a year ago after the death of my best friend of 32 years from pancreatic cancer.
Incomplete recovery from grief can have a lifelong negative effect on the capacity for happiness. This handbook offers grievers the specific actions needed to move beyond loss. The authors illustrated how it is possible to recover from grief and regain energy and spontaneity.
This includes guidance for dealing with: loss of faith, loss of health loss of career, and financial issues.
