For 7.5 years I’ve appreciated the opportunities in this field and now I’m eager to transition into a career in communications. I’m confident in my skills in event planning, social media management, and marketing, and I’ve touched on these interest through various projects and roles. Additionally, I earned a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Business Communication in 2023, which has further solidified my passion for this field. I’d love your advice on making this career switch and positioning myself effectively in the communications industry.

Start by getting to know others in the field first. This may mean going to a trade show or looking on LinkedIn to start conversations with others. Do not start by asking for a job. Ask what they do and what they like about the field. They may route you to other later on. This is not intended to be a quick job hunt step.
