Career Changers!

Hi, I would like to pivot from the legal field to human resources field.

I know that I have transferable skills to get into the field. Any advice that you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you

This article may help. While you're not pivoting into tech as the title alludes, the author actually shifted from legal into executive search. https://www.battery.com/blog/how-to-navigate-a-career-pivot-into-tech/

Hi there! A Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a role that includes strategically partnering with management on several issues like recruitment strategy, employee engagement and relations. Often they are needed to assist with issues involving employment law, which could be your skill bridge. HR Advisors and Union Relations are also popping up in organizations as well!

Sophie, Thank you for the insight into the Human Resources Business Partner role as well as HR Advisor and Union Relations. I will most definitely look into those.

Human Resources is very broad, you may want to explore where you may be a good fit, join SHRM (and possibly get certified) network with HR pros and update your resume accordingly.
