Congrats on getting started! I left a full-time job to start my business as a virtual assistant (specializing in website and social media management) about 6 months ago.
Tools I use daily are my CRM (I use honeybook) for tracking appointments, contracts, and payments, and Facebook Business Manager where I manage all my client's social media (for FB and IG).
I definitely echo the networking suggestion. You will get most of your clients through referral, especially starting out.
If you are looking to improve or add to your skills, Hubspot and Acadium are 2 really great resources.
