Hello all!

Hope everyone is doing well. I went a little radio silent as soon after I started this group I began to work on the difficult transition of giving notice to a boss I really liked in order to move on from my former company. I start at a new place today! And hope to be more active here as I am moving from FI to FinTech - a new frontier for me!

Thank you for starting this group and congratulations to you! I, too, am making a huge leap, after 25 years at the same company and I am scared to death! LOL Actually, I'm having anxiety over giving my notice more than anything. I sent you a request to connect on FGB (we're already connected on LI). I look forward to following your posts!

It sounds nice you have started your new work cuz u chanllenge to get a new one. Moving from one job to another job is difficult as I can imagine so that's why many people will not take action to move from where they are instead they are more likely to stick to where they are even if there's sth going not well. Most of people will just focus on one field and they wont never get out of it, sometimes I think its a stake as well.

Awesome! Change is change even when it is good. It can feel a little overwhelming. I've owned my own business as a consultant for the last seven years. Part-time at that. I was taking care of some crazy family issues, including care-giving. Now, I'm looking for a full-time job again in my industry. I thought I would be at a major disadvantage given my part-time work.. Turns out, my past experience DOES impress hiring managers AND PMs are in such high demand, recruiters are having a hard time filling positions. This is not at all what I expected. Last year, not much was happening. Now, I have interviews with some big, well-known companies, who also have great reputations for their work culture. I did not expect this at all. My point is, this is so amazing that I am honestly a bit overwhelmed. In a really, really good way. But the body does often does not completely understand when stress is good stress. I can still wear us out. So, in addition to being so thankful and excited, I am tempering these feelings with staying calm about all of it, which is not easy for me lol. Congrats again! :)
