Hello everyone, I am trying to start a career in project management and was wondering if anyone can share some advise. I have a degree in social work and I am currently working on an MBA with a focus in project management. I have no experience in working in this field and would like to know where to start looking for career opportunities.

Use the resources your school provides. When you do well in a project management related course, ask the professor if he or she will write a reference letter or be a reference.

Check with the career development office for project management positions or internships.

Some titles for entry project management positions are
    assistant project manager
    project coordinator
    project scheduler
One way to learn more about project management is any position within a project management office (PMO).
You could also try to manage projects within an industry or specialization that you already have. For instance, setting up new social work programs or grant-funded projects.
Change management and product management are related areas that might also be of interest.
