I'm doing research for a client of mine that want to hire woman developers. The goal is to have a diverse workforce but it seems difficult for us.
Does anyone have any tips?
I've worked with clients on this very issue. Strategies I share include:
Find women's groups in their area and look into sponsoring an event/meeting. Sponsors usually get to give a short plug for their organization.
If they are looking at college hires they can't go to the same sources they have in the past. Find the schools that have what they are looking for.
Take a look at their website and marketing materials and see if they appeal to women and other diverse candidates.
Review their offerings and benefits to see if they are in aligned with having a diverse workforce.
