It's time
Good morning, everyone! Well, it's now official. I gave my retirement notice to my manager last week. My last day of work is currently planned for August 28. I hope society will have opened up more by then.
A friend and I are planning to join a fitness group three times a week. Being each other's accountability partner will ensure we keep to a schedule.
I've also investigated classes at the local community college in Interior Design just for my own enjoyment. Learning more about herbs and spices for cooking may lead to some cooking classes.
In addition, I'm trying to talk hubby into renting an RV for a couple of weeks and see if that's something we might enjoy. Seeing every state is on my bucket list.
We've reviewed options with our financial advisor and appear to be in good shape through our early 90's.
Now I just need to ensure a successful transition of all my projects, sign the paperwork, and it will be the start of a new life!
A manager resigned and I've been asked to stay on one more month as I'm one of the few that can do many of her activities. So now it's the end of September...
I know you feel really great about being in this position, with good options to keep you busy without money worries! I too like the idea of seeing the country in an RV, but my hubby says that doesn't sound like fun to him... Congratulations to you on making this decision, LadyPele! Let us know how it goes once you throw away your alarm clock! :)
