Wonder Woman
This week, I started to help my cousin with her business. She owns a small business focused on kids ’parties: balloons, papers… all the set to make magic happen. I started to help her because we decided to expanding her instagram page.
We still don’t get too many followers - we are still giving our first steps… crawling like babies on a new digital marketing journey. However, one thing my cousin absolutely already got: an admirer (not secret !!!).
I am completely impressed how amazing she is with her crazy life being mother, business woman and woman. I've decided to post, my weekly writing about this, not only because I admire her. Also, because I am 100% sure what I am going to describe below represents most women's lives in this fairy community.
My cousin wakes up, everyday, between 7 AM and 8 AM. She has a lovely daughter, Maria Alice - 10 years old, whom she also needs to take care (she is divorced and Maria lives with her).
Now, during the pandemic ’times, Maria’s performance education depends basically on her. Of course, teachers are still the base and the school is being wonderful trying to attend all. However, all math & portuguese questions, now, are only with mom; If the internet is not working “where is mom to fix it?”. But, mom needs to attend her clients, deliver her services, prospect for the future, and we can’t forget the lunch, dinner, laundry…
I thought, being closer to her, I would help her to expand her page and getting more followers. However, I realized, it can be much more. When we support each other, we literally can change our lives.
Yes, being closer to her, the goal is making the business better. However, with time, when we increase productivity, she also will gain time for herself, now she has a friend to talk about her day or share her ideas. The thing is: we don't need too much to empower women! We just need take a look, carefuly, sometimes, beside us, we can be bold for change!
