As much as we don't like it, imposter syndrome is there because we allow external validation and approval to guide our career.
When we don't get it confirming our every move, we feel like we shouldn't be there.
This is able to happen when there is a lack of belief and confidence, which is human. It will be there in some way and at some time in our lives.
Having a clear plan with intentional career actions can build your belief in you, and lessen the need for others validation.
I'm interested to know..... do you feel like you have a clear career plan for yourself?
I don't feel like I have the clarity in my career plan, but admittedly, I'm also just starting out. I feel like my career could go so many ways but I'm not sure which route to take. Any advice?
Yes! Sit back and think what you enjoy about your job. Is it talking to others? is it giving customer service? Is it helping people succeed? is it selling something that helps in some way?? Start noticing what gives you a little "pep" and let that start guiding you. No need to have it all figured out right now, skills and experiences you gain now can be applied even if you end up in an industry completely different!
Love this! Thank you for the reassurance and the starter questions.
You are welcome! Just keep following the direction each of these little steps lead and you'll become exposed to more of what's out there and possible for you.
