Two Questions
Hi everybody! Just found FGB and very happy to be here.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with my career and I keep coming back to consulting. I think there are a lot of aspects that would work really well for me (problem solving, constantly meeting new people, project-based work), but from the outside it seems difficult to tell what the day-to-day of an actual job would look like. Also, I'm still early career, but it feels like most consulting openings are either aimed at recent undergrads, or assume several years of full time consulting experience. So my questions for you are:
What is daily life in consulting actually like?
Is there a place for a woman in her early 30s to actually enter the field?
Thanks in advance!
I say it's never too late. What kind of consulting are you looking to do?
Ideally something in the DEI space, but I'm struggling because my professional experience is all in administrative support. I've been doing a lot of DEI work in my free time but it's not seeming to translate all that well.
