    Hello!

When you say "new" - do you mean you don't have a lot of career experience? I ask because you mention "course". Or do you mean you have a lot of career experience but haven't built a portfolio before?

A CP is typically for those who need to physically showcase things they've done: artists, poets, cosmetologists, etc. It contains samples of things you've done/created in your career. You might have pictures of haircuts you've done if you're wanting to be a beautician. Or makeup looks you've created. Or artwork you've done if you're into visual arts.

If you're newer to the work-world, a CP showcasing your talents would be awesome. Same if you were trying to break into a new profession.

Ineed.com has a great article on the topic:

    All the best!
