    Role Description

    The role will join Applied Materials Global Services (AGS) M&A/NBD team as a marketing analyst. This role will drive the collection of market data and conduct analysis to discover trends and growth opportunities that align to AGS business goals. The individual will learn to utilize marketing and financial analysis frameworks to develop growth strategies, project plans, and create persuasive communication of investment opportunity. The individual will work closely on cross-functional project teams and collaborate with other individuals and functions from across Applied Materials (Product management, Business Development, R&D/Engineering, Finance, Sales, etc.). The individual will have opportunities to participate and present insights and findings in various formats and contexts within the organization. The role offers a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to gain experience and advance a career development opportunity in the semiconductor industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify & execute inorganic growth opportunities for the AGS business segment.

    • Develop targets for acquisition, Investment, IP Licensing & Partnership, etc per business unit needs and strategy.

    • Perform primary & secondary market research and data analysis (Market segmentation, competition, financial analysis, technology landscape, etc.)

    • Build business cases with the strategic rationale for the selected target using clear messaging and data visualization.

    • Financial modeling to assess revenue and profitability impact to the existing business.

    • Define business and execution risks and develop options to mitigate risks.

    • Present analysis and communicate investment proposals to business and segment leadership

    • Build relationships with external organizations, including universities and research institutes to identify new business opportunities.

    • Manager multiple projects with cross-functional teams

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field; an MBA is highly preferred

    • 4-7 years of prior work experience. Prior roles could include experience in marketing (product development, business development, corporate strategy), business management, management consulting and/or M&A advisory.

    • Working knowledge of different inorganic growth activities like M&A, Investment, IP Acquisition, Licensing & Partnership is a plus.

    • Semiconductor industry experience a plus, knowledge of industry structure and players is highly desirable

    • History of achieving results through collaboration and teamwork; Cross-functional experience with global exposure

    • Experience in advanced business data analysis & presentation

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Expected Travel: < 10%

    The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

    For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
