The impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Enterprise Digital Solutions (EDS) Team, the Product Owner Associate Director translates the vision into a roadmap made up of squad deliverables to achieve the business strategy while enhancing value to the client. This is done through leading scope and the product backlog in collaboration with the squad, Product Manager, key stakeholders (internal and external to EDS), and clients / end-users (targeted personas).The person should support design thinking and process and decision modeling using automation compliant methodologies and tools. The position requires detailed process documentation to support process reimagination and deliver best in class client experience by incorporating customer journeys across our product portfolio.
Primary responsibilities:
Analyze current state of product offering, defining business processes, codifying business rules by leveraging state of the art design tools and methodologies.
Leads by collaborating with internal resources (Product managers, Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Development and QA Analysts) to create solutions that meet business needs in an Agile setting (i.e., scrum ceremonies, collocated team, etc.)
Ownership of the capabilities and roadmap of the platform from value perspective
Engage business and technical stakeholders to plan development milestones, release artifacts and updating existing operating models
Ensure compliance to applicable standards, procedures and best practices during development and maintenance activities
Assists in defining product vision and incorporating the roadmap into squad deliverables and release plans
Creates and refines the backlog with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready. Guides the team to decompose requirements into stories, uncover associated workflows, data and business rules as well as define acceptance criteria based on real world scenarios.
Seeks feedback from partners and clients and incorporates into future backlog items
Brings the voice of the client into the squad and the voice of the squad to the organization
Cultivates partnerships inside and outside of EDS to maintain alignment to achieve strategic objectives
Evaluates shared issues, risks, and dependencies for resolution
Incorporates and prioritizes work in support of delivery best practices (e.g., managing technical debt), as required, to consistently and effectively deliver on release objectives
Increases delivered value by evaluating implementation alternatives, considering impact of cost, schedule, and risk profiles
Conduct walkthroughs of products and presents product releases to large forums, articulating the business value and promoting adoption
Attends and participates in squad and tribe meetings, effectively collaborating and providing thought leadership to support EDS objectives
Develop sharp presentations (using power point) related to the body of work for leadership consumption
Experience managing and optimizing client portals, including ensuring portal functionality aligns with business requirements
Demonstrated business-to-business (B2B) experience, specifically in engaging and supporting enterprise clients through digital platforms
Drives a client first, user centric approach by translating client insights, experience metrics, and platform analytics into prioritized enhancements that measurably improve value realization and client outcomes for the client Portal.
Manages and analyzes data from client analytics and reporting tools to derive actionable client metrics, using insights to inform value based decision making and support prioritization of backlog items and platform enhancements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
Hands-on knowledge and experience in Agile ways of working (Scrum) is required for this role
Prior platform Product Owner experience
Proficient with JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Process Mapping tools is a must have for this role
Experience in creating high quality presentation deck by converting data/abstract idea into a logical story
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in delivering outputs within deadlines
Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills and experience in presenting to senior leadership in the organization
Skilled at conducting client meetings, gathering feedback, and translating client needs into actionable improvements for portal features and user experience
Ability to enhance client portals based on data insights and client feedback, driving continual improvement and increased satisfaction
Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver portal enhancements and resolve client issues efficiently
