"• Work in multiple programs/projects related to Value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) to achieve the business goals and Profit Plan objectives.
• Own end to end cost out projects including product conceptualization, detailing, design validation & testing of products.
• Contribute to Conduct workshops to identify cost out opportunities and evaluate those
• Work in a cross functional/ multi-disciplinary team in making technology/ engineering decisions required for project execution.
• Designs, validates and releases system, sub-system and components independently as well as through team of engineers. Creates CAD drawings- detailing, 3D models, Assemblies etc. and ensure release in PLM / ERP system per project plan.
• Contribute to create test plans in accordance with IEC/UL standards. Create test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation. Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assess test results, perform root cause analysis through test findings/failures and take corrective/preventive actions discussing with Leads.
• Contribute with leads to Create Intellectual Property documents (IPs) around new product design concepts / ideas and drive innovation from ideation through to execution.

Qualifications:

BE / M.tech - Mechanical Engineering
BE (3-6 yrs.), MTech (2-4 yrs.), Product Design

Skills:

"1. Sound technical knowledge and experience in design and development of Mechanical products like sheet metal products (preferred), cast/machined products, plastic products and relevant product standards such as UL, IEC, NEMA etc.
2. Proven knowledge and experience on VAVE/ Cost out project execution with fast pace execution, also should be capable to work on NPI/ Sustaining projects as needed.
3. Experience must include hands on experience with product cost out from concept to commercialization including and not limited to part detailing and designing, component and material selection, drawing creation, 3D modeling of parts/assemblies and 2D dimensioning and tolerance of parts, prototyping and validation.
4.Analytical skills must include understanding component design/ selection, stresses, fatigue life, component fits and establishing efficient/ergonomic methods of assembly, Design calculations.
5. Should be proficient with GD&T, Six Sigma, DFMEA, DFMA, UL/IEC certification requirements & DV testing for compliance.
6. Understinding & experince in reviewing structural/thermal/CFD/MBD, moldflow, reliability analysis reports to draw appropriate conclusion.
7. Knowledge on PLM systems (Enovia , SAP) and change management processes ECR/ECO.
8. Hands on experience in CAD tools - SolidWorks & Creo, Basic expertise on Advanced Excel would be added advantage.
9. Shall be capable to preapre project plan by connecting with multiple functions like SCM, quality & production department."
