Improvements of First Time Yield, Cycle Time, On Time Delivery, Cost Of Non Conformance (CONC), Safety, productivity and quality assurance issues, especially on old and marginally designed products. Satisfying and exceeding customer expectations while staying within budget and schedule.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Five (5)+ years' experience in a manufacturing plant or operations environment
One (1) + year of supervisor/manager of people experience

Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or other related field, or equivalent experience.
Five years' experience in a factory/manufacturing aerospace industry
Two years' experience supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing or distribution function.
Involvement in successful process definition and re-engineering, a plus.
Experience in employee involvement in multi-discipline teaming, a plus.
Working knowledge of Quality standards and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Skills:
• Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
• Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
• Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
• Thorough Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
• Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Familiarity/experience with continuous improvement and Six Sigma methodology.
• Good technical writing and presentation skills.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based methods and tools.
• Familiarity with SPC principles and methods
• Ability to work well with others in the areas of teamwork and communication.
• Ability to logically solve problems and to keep projects moving in an orderly and structured fashion.
Additional Information:
Directly supervises High Performance work teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Must be prequalified to work on defense projects, per the state department ITAR regulations.
