What you'll do:
As Project Finance Controller you will be a member of the EMEA Project Controlling Team within the Customer Projects Organization. You will engage in systematic risk management practices and collaborating with project teams to oversee consolidated project performance. In this role you work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and support informed decision-making.
Supporting Risk Management
Provide financial input for project and backlog reviews to identify risks and opportunities.
Support risk and opportunity mapping with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with operational risk mitigation and contingency planning during tendering.
Project Financial Management and Forecasting
Support WBS reviews to ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies.
Validate revenue recognition assumptions during project reviews.
Contribute to monthly revenue forecasts, including upside/downside analysis.
Support scope and financial analysis during key project reviews.
Commercial and Contractual Support
Support tendering teams by coordinating legal and financial inputs.
Translate contract and finance guidance into practical recommendations for project teams.
Support management of contractual risks and claims together with Sales.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
Provide timely and accurate project financial updates to management.
Act as a trusted financial partner supporting project-related decisions.
Continuous Improvement Participation
Contribute to improvement of project controlling processes and tools.
Support rollout of new systems, methods, or process enhancements.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related academic field (Master's degree is a plus).
Extensive experience in controlling, financial managment, or a similar role, perferably in a project-based organization or operation.
Strong knowledge of financial processes, ideally including revenue recognition, cost management, and risk analysis.
Proficiency in SAP, Power BI and other project financial tools are welcomed.
Ability to prepare and validate accurate financial reports and forecasts.
Understanding of risk management principles and project lifecycle financials; maintaining project books and records in line with budgets and contracts is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to influence and support team accountability.
Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
