Lead, ENERGY MARKETING GC

CONVERSE GREATER CHINA

BECOME PART OF THE CONVERSE TEAM

Converse is a place to explore potential, break barriers and push out the edges of what can be. We look for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Our culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. We seek achievers, leaders and visionaries who bring their skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving world, making things better as a team.

We challenge and disrupt conventions to serve creators across generations. We are rewriting the rules and reigniting love for Converse for the next 120 years.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a highly connected, product-minded and execution-focused Senior Manager, Energy Marketing to lead the Converse Energy offense in Greater China. This role turns cultural opportunity into distinctive product and marketplace impact by identifying the right external partners and creators, guiding collaborative product creation, and coordinating an integrated go-to-market plan.

The ideal candidate has strong instincts for fashion, music, art, and sneaker culture, paired with the operational discipline to move an idea from relationship building to product brief, product creation and launch. You know how to assess whether a partner is right for Converse, build trust with external talent and align multiple teams behind a clear creative and commercial opportunity.

You are a strong collaborator who can connect global direction with local consumer and marketplace needs. You bring clarity to complex workstreams, influence without relying on authority, and maintain momentum from initial conversation through final execution.

Key attributes we value

• Strong cultural and product instinct, with the ability to identify external partners and creators who are credible, relevant and right for Converse.

• Experience developing collaborations or creator-led product programs from opportunity identification through product creation and launch.

• A relationship-first approach and the ability to build trust with creators, collaborators, agencies and internal partners.

• Strong project leadership, with the discipline to manage stakeholders, decisions, timelines, budgets and deliverables across a complex matrix.

• Sound judgment and creative taste, balanced with commercial awareness and an understanding of marketplace needs.

• A founder mindset: curious, resourceful, accountable and able to move with China speed.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will lead the development and execution of the GC Energy roadmap. Working with the Global Energy team and the GC Brand Marketing team, you will translate global direction and local opportunity into a GC strategy and roadmap that complements the global Energy offense while addressing the specific needs of the GC consumer and marketplace.

The role follows the full collaboration journey: identify the right partner or creator, bring the partnership to life through product creation, and lead the cross-functional coordination required to take the product and story to market.

• Partner with the Global Energy team and GC Brand Marketing team to develop and maintain the GC Energy strategy, roadmap and seasonal pipeline, ensuring local priorities complement global strategy and plans.

• Identify and assess external partners and creators based on brand fit, cultural relevance, creative potential, consumer resonance and marketplace opportunity.

• Build relationships with selected partners and creators, shaping a clear collaboration proposition, creative ambition and shared expectations.

• Develop the collaboration brief and lead the work from initial concept through product creation, partnering with the Global Energy team or the local Regional Product Creation (RPC) team as appropriate.

• Coordinate partner input, product decisions, feedback rounds, approvals, samples and key milestones to keep the creation process moving with clarity and discipline.

• Work closely with Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, Communications, Creative, Marketplace, Sales and Merchandising to develop and deliver the go-to-market plan.

• Ensure product, storytelling, seeding, communications, marketplace and consumer-experience plans come together as one connected launch.

• Own the integrated project plan across internal and external teams, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues and maintaining alignment against timing, budget and deliverables.

• Track post-launch performance and partner feedback, capturing learning to strengthen the future GC Energy pipeline and ways of working.

• Maintain clear communication and alignment with GC, regional and global stakeholders throughout the end-to-end process.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Marketing GC and is part of the GC Marketing leadership team. You will work closely with:

• Global Energy team and GC Brand Marketing team

• Global product creation teams and the local Regional Product Creation (RPC) team

• GC Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, Communications, Brand Creative, Marketplace, Sales and Merchandising teams

• External creators, collaborators, cultural partners, agencies and key marketplace partners

The shape of the work will vary across partner development, product creation and go-to-market delivery. Success requires strong relationships, practical problem solving and consistent follow-through across every stage.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, collaborations, energy marketing, cultural marketing, product marketing or a related discipline, ideally within fashion, footwear or lifestyle.

• Demonstrated experience identifying and managing external partners or creators and taking collaboration programs from concept through product and go-to-market execution.

• Working knowledge of product creation processes, including briefing, design and development milestones, sampling, approvals and launch readiness.

• Strong understanding of the GC consumer, cultural landscape, creator ecosystem and fashion and sneaker marketplace.

• Excellent project management and stakeholder leadership skills across global, regional, local and external teams.

• Strong creative judgment, commercial awareness and the ability to make clear recommendations amid ambiguity.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strategic storytelling, presentations and partner communication.

• Experience managing agencies, budgets, timelines and multiple interconnected workstreams.

• Fluency in Mandarin and strong professional English communication skills.
