Read and interpret electrical drawings, winding diagrams, and job specifications
Maintain accurate records of work performed, measurements, and test results
Follow safety procedures, electrical lockout/tagout practices, and shop standards
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
Assist with teardown, assembly, and final preparation of generators as needed
All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities able to be performed at customer site includes onsite machining, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics.
Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or a relevant Trade Qualification.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of winding experience in the power generation industry.
Proven knowledge of generator electrical and mechanical components.
Understanding of processes in Thermal Power Plants.
English proficiency is a must as this role covers multiple countries
Willingness to travel extensively (100% travel required).
