lt, have defaulted on the terms of their credit agreements
Interpret credit agreements and other legal documents to determine which co-borrowers, guarantors and other parties to the agreements require set up in bank's system of record for future covenant compliance evaluation
Perform credit analysis, review documentation and monitor ongoing compliance with financial covenants within an assigned portfolio of borrowers
Independently apply knowledge analytical abilities to calculate cash flow and leverage ratios in accordance with specific terms laid out in credit agreements
Become a subject matter expert in the real estate, financial institutions or other industries and develop strong product knowledge of secured lending products including borrowing base credit facilities
Use judgement to determine which credit agreements must be prioritized over others for review
Determine the grid-based performance pricing that applies to borrower so the bank gets adequately compensated for credit risk
Provide training and guidance to and review work of junior team members
Adhere to the quality control standards that have been set for the process and to service level agreements WLS has with its internal business partners
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
Minimum of 4 years of experience in banking and/or doing financial analysis
Proficient in understanding reading credit risk policies, loan documentation and related legal issues, with an ability to develop subject matter expertise
Ability to understand and complex credit transactions, then summarize key transaction points
Strong understanding of loan products, including documentation, for revolving lines of credit, term loans, borrowing bases, etc..
Strong verbal & written communication to effectively communicate with various stakeholders and across levels
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision including demonstration of good time management
High proficiency in using MS Office tools including MS Excel
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting preferred
High level of understanding of assessing credit risk of real estate developers, investors, real estate operating companies and opportunity and investment fund is a plus
