Role Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership
• Lead the development and execution of integrated internal and external communications strategies for India, aligned with global communications priorities.
• Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the India Leadership Team, offering strategic counsel on narrative, positioning and stakeholder engagement.
Internal & Employee Communications
• Strengthen culture, engagement and alignment through compelling employee communications, including town halls and leadership communications.
• Localize global messages for India audiences and elevate India's people, performance and culture through global channels.
External Communications & Corporate Reputation
• Build, protect, and enhance Suntory Global Spirits' corporate reputation in India.
• Lead proactive and reactive media relations, cultivating strong relationships with key business, trade and sector media.
• Act as a lead communicator on issues and crisis situations, partnering with Legal, HR, Public Affairs, and business leaders.
Change & Transformation Communications
• Design and deliver communications strategies that enable effective change management during business transformation and growth initiatives.
• Translate complex change into clear, authentic, and motivating messaging for all stakeholders.
Brand PR
• Partner with Marketing and Global Brand PR teams to support Brand PR initiatives.
• Leverage media expertise and relationships to drive high quality coverage for Suntory Global Spirits' portfolio in India.
Sustainability & Corporate Storytelling
• Support and amplify the company's sustainability strategy in India through impactful internal and external communications.
• Partner with cross functional stakeholders to articulate purpose led initiatives and measurable progress.
Global Collaboration
• Work closely with global and regional communications counterparts on shared priorities, global town halls, major milestones, and leadership events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related disciplines.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills; fluent English required.
• Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and C suite executives.
• Self-starter who is able to operate with limited functional direction and strong judgement.
• Experience operating successfully in highly matrixed, global organizations.
• Strong project leadership skills with the ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and multiple priorities.
• Collaborative, proactive, and solutions oriented leadership style.
• Willingness to travel: limited global travel (1-2 times per year) and local travel as needed.
