    Position summary

    CI/CD pipelines, and access API analytics and reporting. This role requires strong practical expertise in API development and management, along with the ability to support and coach other developers in using Apigee effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, deploy, and maintain Apigee APIs meeting enterprise quality, performance, security, and reliability standards.

    • Support Citizen API Developers through office hours, troubleshooting, and hands-on assistance with API creation and management.

    • Build and enhance self-service enablement capabilities, including onboarding workflows, templates, automation, and developer documentation.

    • Maintain and support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments and assist with governance automation through standards and policy enforcement.

    • Improve API discoverability and developer experience, including contributions to the API developer portal and documentation.

    • Assist with API migrations from legacy platforms to Apigee as part of transformation efforts.

    • Troubleshoot platform and API issues and provide subject-matter expert support during incidents and critical delivery efforts.

    • Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead and the broader team on platform reliability, usability, and adoption.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in API and application integration technical roles (engineering, operations, or support).

    • Hands-on experience building, deploying, and supporting APIs in production environments.

    • Experience delivering APIs using Apigee X or similar enterprise API management platforms.

    • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, and API security.

    • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation for API deployments.

    • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve API and platform issues.

    • Ability to support and coach developers in using API platforms effectively.

    • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working as part of a delivery-focused engineering team.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with additional API management or integration platforms (e.g., IBM middleware technologies, AWS API Gateway).

    • Working knowledge of AWS and/or GCP environments, including certifications or hands-on platform experience.

    • Experience in platform operations, SRE, or production support, including observability, monitoring, and incident response.

    • Experience building automation or tooling to reduce manual effort in API delivery or platform operations.

    • Prior experience working on an API platform engineering or enablement team supporting self-service adoption.
