HashiCorp was founded by Mitchell Hashimoto and Armon Dadgar in 2012 with the goal of revolutionizing datacenter management: application development, delivery, and maintenance.

The datacenter of today is very different than the datacenter of yesterday, and we think the datacenter of tomorrow is just around the corner. We're writing software to take you all the way from yesterday to today, and then safely to tomorrow and beyond.

    • Name

      Robin Conley

    • Position

      Associate Director, Terraform Support Engineering

      Home Office, United States

I have the privilege to lead a fantastic group of 3rd level support engineers that cover the Terraform products here at HC.

You can also find me attending my son’s high school football games, helping my oldest daughter navigate college plans, putting together the best Halloween costume for my youngest daughter while simultaneously changing a diaper for my newest addition.  My kids are my drive and the loves of my life. I’m also passionate about interior design, sci-fi, yoga and martial arts. I have severe wanderlust and love to travel with my kids. Long walks on the beach? Sign me up for that cliché! I love to be outdoors hiking and near water.

The reason I came to HashiCorp was for the flexibility of working remotely as a Mom.  That is what initially interested me along with knowing that the product offerings are solid and quickly becoming cloud industry standards.  However, after actually working for HashiCorp I have to say the best thing about it is the company Tao of HashiCorp. Not only is the Tao thoughtfully created and represented on the website, but it is ingrained in the core of how the company operates on a daily basis.  You can feel the conscious way that people address each other with the Tao in mind – truly a beautiful way to work. Kindness breeds kindness, and I love to get to be a part of that every day.

The advice I would give to any woman interested in a career like mine is to work hard and be kind!  Pick your battles but stay the course of what is right not only for you but for the company you represent.  Become the SME of what you do and always offer to help when you see a need. Eventually your integrity will become known and doors will open.

Engineering Manager, Nomad team at HashiCorp

      Home Office, United States

I lead a team of talented engineers solving hard technical problems to build Nomad, a distributed orchestrator for dynamic infrastructure.

I am a mom raising a 10 year old daughter with special needs. Life has its challenges but never a dull moment. In my free time I like listening to and singing Carnatic music, which is classical music from South India. I also enjoy hiking outdoors with my family.

What I like best about working at HashiCorp is that I get to work with and learn from smart, humble and collaborative people every day.

The advice I would give to any woman who wanted a career like mine is to consider every failure a teachable moment.  Having a sense of humor goes a long way in handling challenges life throws at you.  Compare yourself to past you to keep growing, rather than comparing yourself to others around you.

What Women Should Know about Working At HashiCorp
What makes HashiCorp great for women?

The strength of everyone!

At HashiCorp, we focus on harnessing the power of not one or some of us, but the strength of all of us. We take a pragmatic approach to cloud infrastructure automation. We know that it’s not where or when we work, but how we work, that makes our work beautiful. It’s not just about who we are as individuals, but who we are as a collective force that enables us to create tools that can be loved by everyone, everywhere.

Our fertility benefits for all genders, our guidance-focused approach to performance assessment, and our core belief that everyone who wants one should have a supported career development plan in place reflect our commitment to all of our talented people. We know that an organization isn’t a place, or an inventory – it’s not even a product – it’s a group of dedicated people all working together to achieve a vision. And we know that happens when we are all aligned, supported, and growing together as a team of equals.

Females, non-binary, and male team members benefit from the flexibility of our remote-first culture because it enables every one of us to do our best work. Our internal workflows and processes ensure that we all have a chance to learn and innovate, together. Through unconscious bias training for all our employees, commitment to interviewing members of underrepresented minority groups for every position before hiring, and our culture of seeking and giving open feedback, we show our commitment to being the place for great talent. We’re great for women, gender-neutral people, and men because we leverage the strength of everyone.
