It’s a “family-oriented team environment that supports work life balance” and a “supportive environment that allows you to grow your skills and provides new opportunities,” according to anonymous reviewers on Fairygodboss.

“Macy’s is a great place for working mothers and women,” one woman said on Fairygodboss. “Work-life Integration is part of the culture and you can absolutely feel it on the team.”

Women represent more than 75 percent of the Macy’s, Inc. workforce and approximately 64 percent of management-level executives. They also scored a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index and were recognized as a best place to work for LGBT equality. The on-site daycare wasn't built yet when I was there, but I've heard great reviews from my former colleagues. Many friends took maternity leave and raised their young kids while working here...
