The story of Boeing is woven together from thousands of individual stories: those of the scientists, thinkers, innovators and dreamers that work together to create aerospace products and services that transform the globe—and beyond.

To support their team, Boeing is building a diverse, collaborative and inclusive environment that empowers every employee to reach their full potential.

Read on to learn more about why people around the world love working at Boeing.

Endless career opportunities.

Boeing hires talented people in many fields, including: engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, and manufacturing.

Kristine Ramos, Design Engineer, has spent the last five years working on design, production and testing for the Space Launch System alongside teams at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, and the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. When people tell her that they wish they were doing what she’s doing, Ramos replies: “You can.”

“There is such a misconception that you have to be in a certain field or a certain type of person,” she elaborates. “I really believe it takes an array of different and very creative people to make aerospace happen. You don’t have to be in engineering or math or physics. All types of people and lines of work are involved in human spaceflight.”

Not only does Boeing value collaboration and diverse skill sets, the company also helps their team members explore growth opportunities. Just ask Nathalie Quintero, Systems Engineer. “Boeing has provided me with opportunities to be involved and engaged since I was an intern, and in return I try to bring new perspectives, the incorporation of new technologies, and adaptability,” Quintero says. “Over the past six years, I’ve found mentors who have helped shape my career and supported me as I completed my master’s in systems engineering, which made me more versatile and valuable to the team.”

A strong focus on diversity and inclusion.

Boeing is committed to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion within the company and local communities. In its 2021 Global Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Report, the company outlined clear aspirations and concrete actions being taken to achieve them by 2025.

As a result of their ongoing focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, Boeing has:

  • Been rated as the best workplace for veterans by multiple veterans groups, including Military Friendly®, DiversityInc and Military Times.

    • Veterans comprise 14.8% of their overall U.S. workforce and 24% of Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Boeing Global Services (4% higher than industry peers).

  • More than 125 chapters of employee-led Business Resource Groups globally that advance inclusion and foster collaboration across the company and their communities.

  • Increased, over the last four years, the percentage of women in Engineering and IT vice president roles by ~200%.

  • More than 50 Native American and Indigenous tribes represented at the company today.

  • Earned a score of 100% on the Disability Equality Index for the fifth year in a row.
