‘I Love My Job’: Great Mentors, a Diverse and Inclusive Culture, and a Wide Range of Benefits

Welcome to I Love My Job, the series where we hear from women who really love their jobs. In this edition, we sat down with Karie Warfield, who leads a Client Experience Research and Analytics team (called Insights) and an Escalation Coach team at Achieve.

In her six years at the company, Warfield has been empowered to grow her career as she wants — moving from the personal loan side of the business to debt resolution customer service and now to the client experience team.

Throughout it all, Warfield has been impressed by the unwaveringly diverse and inclusive culture at Achieve. “You can be yourself, and you're celebrated for your uniqueness and your individual strengths,” she tells us. “Our diverse culture is one of my favorite things about Achieve. Our Slack is full of channels that allow you to connect to like-minded peers, and our employee resource groups (ERGs) encourage members and allies to work together in a safe and inclusive space.” At Achieve, you’re also encouraged to lead and create new spaces where you can connect with others. 

And, importantly, “there are so many amazingly strong mentors at Achieve,” says Warfield. These mentors include “men and women who are doing spectacular and innovative things. Achieve encourages us to seek those leaders out, collaborate with them, and learn from them.”

What do you find most exciting about Achieve and your work there?

My Insights team looks for gaps or anomalies in process and service, and we make business recommendations to make the member and advocate experience top notch. Most notably, the Insights team recently stepped up to assist in creating new protocols that were tailored to keeping our members' accounts secure. Meanwhile, our Escalation Coach team works to make sure all of our member concerns are documented so that improvements are efficient, helping the company to grow in the right direction.

What I find most exciting is our cross-collaborative functionality. We work with our customer service teams, reputation management, product, life cycle, marketing, and sales subject matter experts in all the different departments and even our business analysts to allow a full enterprise approach to our solution-based recommendations.

My teams love data projects and personal development, so their unique skill sets allow us to support the company in a way that regular system-based reports can't always identify. We get to the heart of our members' needs while keeping the business needs front of mind.

How does Achieve support you?
