We are an engineering firm, and as such we don't have as many women as I think we should. However, upper management is actively working on this. Unfortunately, the parental leave policy remains unchanged. Other than that, I find working there to be really enjoyable. The men on my team very much respect their female colleagues. I enjoy the collaborative environment and focus on professional development opportunities.

Flexibility and ability to work from home can be great, depending on your direct manager. Maternity/paternity leave are a joke, though. Health insurance is awful.

There is minimal paid maternity leave (one week), and this was instituted recently.
