"Lots of focus on consensus even if it is not possible, means that decisions are hard to come by. Lots of lip service paid to innovation but management does not really give new products support."

"In order to thrive at 3M, you have to have goals and move toward them. You have to take initiative in guiding the direction of your career. If you don't have goals and boundaries, you will be overworked with more responsibilities and no promotion."

"Flexibility exists for salaried employees. For non-salary employees, the company policy states that employees may leave work for important family/ personal matters like getting vaccinated, sick child, or closing on a house. HR ignores this part of the manual, not allowing the employees to exercise established flexibility programs."

"More and more women in senior leadership, some of whom have young children, which is helpful to see. Parental leave is taken by all genders, but could still be improved as some of it is unpaid. Policies talk about flexibility but culture around it was really pretty team dependent until the pandemic. "
