The maternity leave policy is generous but taking maternity leave is a very complicated and stressful process. Almost to the point that you wonder if they make it so difficult to deter people from taking it. If you are lucky you will get a good manager who is flexible with your schedule should you happen to be a working mother.

    It really depends on who your manager is. My manager is not of the norm and is very flexible but I know not everyone's manager is like this.

    The leave process is very stressful from filling out the right forms to talking to the right people who can give you the correct information you need according to what state you live in.

    Maybe. It depends on their current life situation and in what department they are looking at working in. On paper the policies are good but there are unwritten "rules" about what is acceptable by your manager. For example, if your manager just happens to not really care about work-life balance then you aren't going to get much flexibility.
